SugarHeads not......

 Our first Fall Fest as SugarHeads Candy was a success!  We had so much fun in Anderson Missouri getting back to the county I call home.  

Wanna hear a funny story?  I had really hopped I didn't offend anyone but before I was a "candy maker" among the other million jobs as a stay at home mom and homeschool mom, I was a Police Officer.  I loved it!  The passion still runs deep in my soul but with the world today, it was time for a change.  So with the switch from arresting our "crackheads" to creating freeze dried candy addicts, the name SugarHeads was born.  

Creating "SugarHeads" not "Crack heads".....   But none the less, I love you all just the same!

Thermal Labels for our bags!

 What's better than a good advertisement?  This Munbyn thermal printer prints so dang fast and the labels send everyone right back to our shop!  I love it! It's so fast that I'm ordering another one just for shipping.  Why did I wait so long....  Find more of my videos on TikTok

Storing Candy

 After living in the country for 6 years, it has just became second nature to put everything in our pantries into plastic airtight containers.  Of course this has carried over into my business and up until last week, I was recycling our skittle containers to do so.  Now I found these!  

6 quart plastic airtight containers.  So far they're working great for fresh and freeze dried candies!  I found them at both Sam'
s Club and Amazon and for the same price!  (and now the price jumps around... Watch for this 2-pack to be around $10) 

Get you some! 

"Where do you get your candy?"

 

Often, I'm hit up with the question "Where do you get your candy?"  There's no simple answer to this because I've shopped around and around and do my best to nail it down to the price per ounce, where, and almost when I have to buy certain products.   I'm gonna try to put that list together here once and for all!

Sour Gummi Poppers

 I found a sour candy that you all are going to love candy eaters and makers alike!  Check out these Sour Gummi Poppers from Albanese, they're just to cute and easy to throw on the pan and toss in the freeze dryer!  No unwrapping necessary and they come out great!  

They're about the size of a half cut jolly, and they may end up going in the tubs because they're pretty delicate.  If they were to be shipped, they would be a tub only.

 Check out these deli containers! They hold our most fragile candy.

Candy Makers: The best price I've found so far on these deli containers is from Sams and if you don't have a Sams acct, I was ordering these ones from Amazon first.

Need to seal yours?   These bands take just a couple seconds with a heat gun and are wonderful! 

Jolly Ranchers

Our Jolly Ranchers are sold in 32 ounce reusable, microwaveable/dishwasher safe, containers.

Candy Makers: Often I see newbies ask about how to cut jolly ranchers, or I see people using really dangerous tools. 😬😬

Jolly Rancher tip: if you have a medium, they can only be produced in the middle two shelves. I cut mine in half and some in thirds to fill my containers with the most product possible.

This Texan Nut Sheller is by far the fastest and easiest thing to cut those suckers that I've found

First I want to say, I have no competition and I really enjoy helping everyone succeed together in this crazy blown up candy mess we're creating.  (And for the rest of you, I say "candy mess" as you will see, we create some serious messes!)

I'm incredibly blessed to have my store spot and the opportunity to share this cool candy with everyone.  This has been an incredible journey and I can't wait to see what's next!
